Immense- Extremely large or great, especially in scale or degree.
Welcome to the 50mm Aragon Divemaster Evo. Straight away, this one is massive. I’m not even sure the word massive does it justice. The case is 50mm across, 17mm thick, and it weighs a whopping 11.3oz. If King Kong ever needed a wrist watch, this would be a contender. All of this should make me hate this watch, but I just don’t. I can’t.
The attention to detail is off the charts, and I really love the sawtooth style lumed bezel. The dial features a beautiful blue sunburst that I just get lost in, and because of the size of this watch there is more of it to appreciate. The dial is protected by a K1 crystal that provides great clarity and scratch resistance.
Aragon wisely put the signed screw down crown at 4 o’clock which really helps to make the watch more comfortable on the wrist. True to it’s name, the Divemaster Evo boasts an impressive 200m water resistance.
The Divemaster Evo uses a Seiko NH35A automatic movement that will be reliable and accurate for years to come. The movement is visible through the screw down exhibition case back.
Aragon knocked it out of the park with the bracelet on this watch. It has a great quality feel, and gave zero issues sizing. No annoying rattles to be found here.
The lume on the Divemaster Evo May Be it’s best feature. It is a quick charging and long lasting lume that is deeply impressive in person, especially in the bezel and hands. It’s very striking in the dark.
The Divemaster Evo is a huge watch that offers immense value for the money. It is currently listed at $130 directly from Aragon, and there is a 45mm option if the 50mm is too much for you. Most watches this size are novelty items, but Aragon made this somehow not feel that way. It absolutely screams quality from every angle, and I adore it for that. It’s not too big, there’s just more of it to love.
